this is the beginning of a poppy i am drawing for my friend poppy. it may hopefully become a tattoo!

this, which was too much animal to fit in my scanner, was a project i did for media methods class last year. we had to experiment with gesso to make a 3-D ish texture on a monster of our own invention. the mane is the gesso part.. painted purple with yellow ochre brushed over the raised parts.
